After recalling fundamentals of Euclidean and relative differential geometry of ruled surfaces in \(\mathbb{E}^3\), the authors express the Pick invariant, the relative curvature, the relative mean curvature, and the scalar curvature of the relative metric in terms of the distribution parameter, the conical curvature, the striction, and the affine normalization's support function. Subsequently, they develop the notion of ``right normalization'', characterized by having a curve or a ruled surface with parallel generators as relative image. Examples include asymptotic and central normalizations where the normals lie in the asymptotic or central plane respectively. Necessary and sufficient conditions for the ruled surface to be a (proper or improper) relative sphere are provided and the rightness of the normalization turns out to be necessary. Finally, numerous particular results on central normalizations are derived, for example: the Tchebychev vector field of a centrally normalized ruled surfaces is tangential to the one-family of Euclidean lines of curvature if the surface is a relative minimal Edlinger surface.
