On Douglas general \((\alpha,\beta)\)-metrics (Q2404066)

This paper is devoted to the study of Douglas general \((\alpha,\beta)\)-metrics. This type of metrics are very important in Finsler geometry because for this class of metrics, the Douglas curvature vanishes. The authors use the \((\alpha,\beta)\)-metrics which are a very special type of Finsler metrics, to find more Douglas metrics. Finally, the authors obtain the differential equations that characterizes these metrics with vanishing Douglas curvature and, solving the PDE's, they construct new Douglas metrics. In conclusion, the paper is well written, contains new and interesting results concerning the \((\alpha,\beta)\)-metrics and is worth to be studied for those interested in Finsler geometry.
