The idea of an algebraic hyperstructures is to replace one or more of the operations of an ordinary algebraic structure (e.g., a group) with a hyperoperation (to get a hypergroup). A hyperoperation is a binary operation that assigns to two elements a uniquely defined subset of the given set. Suitable changes to the usual algebraic axioms for the specific algebraic structure are made to accommodate this more general operation. In the natural way, an ordered algebraic hyperstructure is defined as a partially ordered set for which the operations are compatible with the ordering. Such structures have already been studied by many authors. In this paper, the authors continue these investigations into ordered algebraic hyperstructures. In particular, they look at ordered hyperrings and for these they investigate simplicity and the properties of pure and purely prime hyperideals.
