Motion of a vortex filament on a slanted plane (Q2404273)

This paper deals with an initial boundary value problem (IBVP), involving a localized induction equation (LIE), describing the motion of a vortex filament immersed in an incompressible and inviscid fluid. A brief description of the method used to prove the solvability of the linear problem associated to the regularized nonlinear problem is given and the existence theorem for the regularized nonlinear problem is stated. The paper ends with the construction of solution of an IBVP, providing estimates of the solution to prove the time-global solvability.
