The authors construct a ``class of 4-band symmetric biorthogonal wavelet bases, in which any wavelet system high-pass filters can be determined by exchanging the position and changing the sign of the two low-pass filters''. The wavelet transformation matrices and their eigenvalues are studied. The optimal model is designed by minimizing the maximum eigenvalue and an example is provided with high vanishing moments and fast calculations.
