The authors establish sufficient conditions (see Theorems 3.1--3.5) for the existence of at least three solutions of the nonlinear discrete boundary value problem of the Kirchhoff-type \[ K(u)=\lambda f(k,u(k))+\mu g(k,u(k))+h(u(k)), \] with \(k\in[1,T]_{\mathbb{Z}}:=[1,T]\cap\mathbb{Z}, \Delta u(u)=\Delta u(T)=0.\) Here \(T\) is a fixed positive integer, the functions \(f,g:[1,T]_{\mathbb{Z}}\times\mathbb{R}\to\mathbb{R}\) are continuous, the function \(h:\mathbb{R}\to\mathbb{R}\) is Lipschitz continuous of order \(p-1\) with \(h(0)=0\) and the number \(p\in(1,\infty)\) being given. Moreover \[ K(u):=M(\|u\|^p)(-\Delta(\phi_p(\Delta u(k-1)))+q_k\phi_p(u(k))), \] with \(M:[0,\infty)\to\mathbb{R}\) being continuous and bounded by two positive constants, the function \(\phi_p(s):=|s|^{p-2}s\) representing the \(p\)-Laplacian, the symbol \(\Delta\) meaning the forward difference operator, \(q_k>0\) for all \(k\in[1,T]_{\mathbb{Z}}\), and \[ \|u\|:=\bigg(\sum_{k=1}^{T+1}|\Delta u(k-1)|^p+\sum_{k=1}^{T}q_k |u(k)|^p\bigg)^{1/p}. \] being a norm in the \(T\)-dimensional Banach space \(E:=\{u:[1,T+1]_{\mathbb{Z}}\to\mathbb{R}\mid \Delta u(0)=\Delta u(T)=0\}\). Furthermore, two illustrative examples are provided.
