Log-concave functions (Q2406331)

A quite complete picture of the up-to-date geometric theory of log-concave functions, i.e., functions that can be written in the form \(e^{-u}\) with \(u\) a convex function, is provided, the author presents the main aspects regarding this theory and its applications by bringing together results belonging to various mathematicians on themes ranging from basic operations to inequalities to functional versions of area measure and mixed volumes and finally to valuations on such functions. A short appendix on basic notions of convex geometry closes the paper. Several examples illustrate the theoretical results. Worth noticing is also the very reader friendly style of the presentation.
