The authors consider Riemannian submersions from an orientable 3-manifold to an orientable surface whose fibers are integral curves of a Killing vector field. Since the curvature 2-form is skew-symmetric, its restriction to the horizontal plane distribution gives rise to the so-called `bundle curvature' function (on the total space). The authors' first result is to give a complete classification of such bundles in terms of this bundle curvature and the length function of the Killing vector field, both of which can be prescribed. Second, for bundles over compact oriented base, they show that the existence of a global section implies the existence of a global minimal one. This solves the Bernstein and Plateau problems in the aforementioned specific case.
