The authors study the Newton method for solving nonlinear equations with a nondifferential term in a general Banach space setting. The focus of the work is on the semilocal convergence analysis by using more precise convergence domains, so as to derive tighter error bounds. The paper contains one numerical example with a nonlinear integral equation of Chandrasekhar type.
