A generalized variant of the deteriorated PSS preconditioner for nonsymmetric saddle point problems (Q2407925)

The authors design a new preconditioner for large and sparse saddle point problems. It generalizes a previous deteriorated positive definite and skew symmetric splitting by replacing the relaxation parameter in its \((2, 2)\)-block by another different one. They analyze the convergence of the new preconditioner, as well as the distribution of eigenvalues and the forms of the eigenvectors of the preconditioned matrix. Numerical experiments and comparisons with other preconditioners are also described.
