    Let \(S^{4n-1}\) denote the unit sphere in the quaternionic vector space \(\mathbb{H}^n\). It is known that \[ L^2(S^{4n-1}) \bigoplus_{\ell,\ell^\prime\in\mathbb{N},\, \ell\geq\ell^\prime\geq 0} \mathcal{H}^{\ell\ell^\prime}, \] where \(\mathcal{H}^{\ell\ell^\prime}\) is a joint eigenspace of the Laplace-Beltrami operator \(\Delta_{S^{4n-1}}\) and the following operator: \(\Gamma = (\overline{D} - D)^2 - 2 D_1\overline{D}_1 - 2\overline{D}_1 D_1\), where \(D = \sum_{\ell=1}^{2n} z_\ell \partial_\ell\), \(D_1 = \sum_{\ell=1}^{n} \overline{z}_\ell \partial_{n+\ell}- \overline{z}_{n+\ell} \partial_{\ell}\). For \(1\leq p < 2\), the authors study the joint spectral projection operator \[ \pi_{\ell\ell^\prime}: L^2(S^{4n-1}) \to \mathcal{H}^{\ell\ell^\prime}, \quad \ell,\ell^\prime\in\mathbb{N},\;\ell\geq\ell^\prime\geq 0, \] as an operator from \(L^p(S^{4n-1})\) to \(L^2(S^{4n-1})\). They prove that \[ \|\pi_{\ell\ell^\prime} f\|_2 \leq C(n, p, c_0) (1+ \ell)^{\delta_1(1/p, n)} \|f\|_p \] for \(\ell-\ell^\prime \leq c_0\), and \[ \|\pi_{\ell\ell^\prime} f\|_2 \leq C(n, p, c_1) (1+ \ell)^{\delta_2(1/p, n)} \|f\|_p \] for all \(\ell\geq 0\) and \(\ell^\prime \leq c_1\), with explicit constants \(\delta_1\) and \(\delta_2\). Both estimates are obtained by means of analytic interpolation.
