The authors prove sharp boundary regularity results in \(C^1\) and \(C^{1,\alpha}\) domains for non-local problems of the form \(Lu= f\) in \(\Omega\) and \(u=0\) in \(\Omega^c\). \(L\) is a nonlocal elliptic operator of order \(2s\) with \(s\in(0,1)\) and \(f\) is a function with suitable properties. In the case of \(C^{1,\alpha}\) domains, it is possible to prove that all solutions \(u\) are \(C^s\) up to the boundary and \(\frac{u}{d^s}\) are \(C^\alpha\) in \(\bar{\Omega}\). In the case of \(C^1\) boundary, the authors are able to prove that, if \(u_1\) and \(u_2\) are positive solutions, then \(\frac{u_1}{u_2}\) is bounded and Hölder continuous up to the boundary. Analogous results are established in the case of operators in divergence form with bounded measurable coefficients. All these results will be used in a forthcoming paper in collaboration with Caffarelli.
