Exact triangles are extremely useful computational tools in Floer homology theories. In this paper Lin proves the existence of a surgery exact triangle in the context of Pin(2)-monopole Floer homology, introduced in a previous paper [\textit{F. Lin}, ``A Morse-Bott approach to monopole Floer homology and the Triangulation conjecture'', Preprint, \url{arXiv:1404.4561}], as an analogue to Manolescu's s Pin(2)-equivariant Seiberg-Witten Floer homology groups for rational homology spheres [\textit{C. Manolescu}, J. Am. Math. Soc. 29, No. 1, 147--176 (2016; Zbl 1343.57015)]. The author explicitly computes the Pin(2)-monopole Floer homology groups for certain surgeries along the trefoil and figure eight knot. Furthermore he determines the \(\alpha, \beta\) and \(\gamma\) correction terms in the case of \(\pm 1\) surgeries on alternating knots with Arf invariant 1, and deduces the existence of homology spheres not homology cobordant to any Seifert fibered space (cf. [\textit{M. Stoffregen}, ``Pin(2)-equivariant Seiberg-Witten Floer homology of Seifert fibrations'', Preprint, \url{arXiv:1505.03234}]).
