Let \(k\) be a perfect field \(k\) of positive characteristic \(p=\operatorname{char} k\) and \(W(k)\) the ring of \(p\)-typical Witt vectors of the field \(k\). Trying to extend the Witt vectors theory to non-commutative rings, the author constructs the \(m\)-truncated extended polynomial Witt vectors Mackey functor \(\tilde W_m:k\mathrm{-mod} \to {\mathcal M} (G_{m-1},W_m(k))\), where \({\mathcal M} (G_{m-1},W_m(k))\) is the category of Mackey functors and \(G_{i}\) is the cyclic group of order \(p^i\), and defines the \(W_m(k)\)-module of \(m\)-truncated polynomial Witt vector \(W_m(E) \) for any \(k\)-vector space \(E\) and integer \(n\geq 1\). In Section 3, several exact sequences and filtrations associated to these functors are obtained. Moreover it is shown that the functor \(\tilde W_m\) is a symmetric pseudotensor between the two symmetric tensor categories \(k\mathrm{-mod}\) and \({\mathcal M} (G_{m-1},W_m(k))\). More concrete descriptions of the functors \(W_m\) are given, these are in the spirit of the classical and Hesselholt constructions [\textit{L. Hesselholt}, Acta Math. 177, No. 1, 1--53 (1996; Zbl 0892.19003)]. The paper finishes showing that \(W_m\) are trace functor as defined by the author in [Contemp. Math. 643, 227--262 (2015; Zbl 1346.18027)].
