A family \(\{P_1,\dots,P_k\}\) of convex \(d\)-polytopes in \(E^d\) is called neighborly if \(\dim(P_i\cap P_j)=d-1\) for \(i\not=j\), and nearly-neighborly if each pair \(P_i,P_j\), \(i\not= j\), can be separated by a hyperplane \(H\) with \(\dim(H\cap P_i)=\dim (H\cap P_j)=d-1\). The author develops several constructions for neighborly or nearly-neighborly families. The following are examples of the obtained results. For every \(m\geq 0\), there exists in \(E^{m+2}\) a nearly-neighborly family consisting of \(9\cdot 4^m\) members which are combinatorially equivalent to the \((m+2)\)-box. For all \(d\geq 2\), there exists in \(E^d\) a neighborly family consisting of \(3\cdot 2^{d-1}\) members which are prisms over the \((d-1)\)-simplex. For every \(m\geq 1\), there exists in \(E^{d+m}\) a neighborly family consisting of \(3\cdot 2^{d+m-1}\) members which are \(m\)-fold prisms over the \(d\)-simplex. Also some bounds are obtained.
