The aim of this paper is to construct divisors cutting out the locus where some element of the linear system on a projective surface has abnormal contact with the leaf of a given web (multi-foliation). The authors apply these ideas to reobtain a classical result by Salmon on the number of lines on a projective surface. In a different vein, they investigate the number of lines and of disjoint lines contained in a projective surface and tangent to a contact distribution. This paper is organized as follows: The first section is an introduction to the subject. The second section deals with jet differentials: jet spaces, jet differentials, action of jet differentials on vector fields, multiplication and differentiation of jet differentials, invariant jet differentials, action on foliations and action on webs. The third section deals with extactic divisors for foliations and for webs on surfaces. The forth section concern lines on projective surfaces: second fundamental form and Salmon's theorem. The fifth section contains some results about involutive lines: bound on the number of involutive lines and pairwise disjoint involutive lines.
