Determining the exact Hausdorff and packing measures of even subsets of \(\mathbb{R}\) can be challenging. This problem has been studied by many authors with results known for various classes of sets such as self-similar sets satisfying the open set condition and certain Cantor sets that need not be self-similar or homogeneous. In this paper, the author computes the exact measures for a broader class of Cantor sets that satisfy certain technical conditions. The proofs result from studying a generalization of the mass distribution principle in the case of Hausdorff measure and local density in the case of packing measure.
