If $(M,g)$ is a Riemannian manifold, then the semiconformal curvature tensor ${\mathcal{P}}$ of type $(1,3)$ on $M$ is defined by ${\mathcal{P}}(X,Y)Z=-(n-2)b{\mathcal{C}}(X,Y)Z+[a+(n-2)b]{\mathcal{H}}(X,Y)Z$, where $a$, $b$ are constants not simultaneously zero, ${\mathcal{C}}$ is the conformal curvature tensor and ${\mathcal{H}}$ is the conharmonic curvature tensor. If $P$ is defined as $P(Y,Z,U,V)=g({\mathcal{P}}(Y,Z)U,V)$ satisfies $$(\nabla_XP)(Y,Z,U,V)=A(X)P(Y,Z,U,V)+B(Y)P(X,Z,U,V)+$$ $$D(Z)P(Y,X,U,V)+E(U)P(Y,Z,X,V)+F(V)P(Y,Z,U,X),$$ where the 1-forms $A$, $B$, $D$, $E$ and $F$ are not zero simultaneously, then $M$ is called a weakly semiconformal symmetric manifold.\par In this paper, the authors study properties of weakly semiconformal symmetric manifolds. They show that in a Riemannian manifold $(M,g)$ semiconformally flatness implies conharmonically flatness and $\text{div}{\mathcal{P}}=0$ implies $\text{div}{\mathcal{C}}=0$. The Ricci tensor $S$ is said to be of Codazzi type if it satisfies $(\nabla_XS)(Y,Z)=(\nabla_YS)(X,Z)$. The authors show that if the Ricci tensor $S$ of a weakly semiconformal symmetric manifold $(M,g)$ is of Codazzi type, then the semiconformal curvature tensor $P$ satisfies Bianchi's second identity. Also, it is shown that if the semiconformal curvature tensor $P$ of a weakly semiconformal symmetric manifold $(M,g)$ with non-zero scalar curvature satisfies Bianchi's second identity, then $M$ reduces to a pseudo semiconformally symmetric manifold, and the integral curves of the vector field $\rho$ defined by $g(X,\rho)=A(X)$ are geodesic, provided that $\rho$ is a unit vector field. If an Einstein weakly semiconformal symmetric manifold $(M,g)$ is a weakly symmetric manifold, then the authors show that the scalar curvature of $M$ vanishes when $A+B+E\ne 0$, and if in an Einstein weakly semiconformal symmetric manifold $(M,g)$ the scalar curvature vanishes, then it is a weakly symmetric manifold. Finally, the authors consider the decomposability of weakly semiconformal symmetric manifolds.
