Since exceptional orthogonal polynomials justify recurrence relations with constant and with variable coefficients, second type relations can promote the definition of the multi-indexed polynomials of the second kind. Exceptional orthogonal polynomials, on one hand, are a complete system of polynomials with regard to a positive measure, on the other hand, they are different from the generalized orthogonal polynomials because they are eigenfunctions of a Sturm-Liouville problem as the classical polynomials. It is observed that families of exceptional orthogonal polynomials play a significant role for constructing bound-state solutions to exactly solvable potentials in quantum mechanics. Under several important references citing the emergence of the properties of the exceptional orthogonal polynomials, the authors notice that the equality given on page 538 can be divided into groups in such a manner that the polynomials which are the sums of the elements of the groups satisfy the recurrence relations of the $n$th monic orthogonal polynomials, given in Equation (1), such that $1\leq k\leq s$. Properties of the new families of polynomials, that is, the multi-indexed polynomials of the second kind, are investigated. Section 3 elaborates the main investigation of the multi-indexed polynomials of the second kind through two theorems and some propositions, where the Crum-Darboux decomposition is invoked. In the final section, a numerical illustration of the method described in Section 4 is stated.
