In this paper, the author considers gr-prime and gr-semiprime Goldie rings graded by a group with periodic quotient group modulo the center. The author proves a stronger version of the Goodearl-Stafford theorem on gr-prime Goldie rings. A graded version of the Goldie theorem for the orthogonal graded completion of a gr-semiprime Goldie ring is proved. Rings graded by a group with periodic quotient group modulo the center are considered. This class of groups includes all abelian and periodic groups, which were considered by \textit{K. R. Goodearl} and \textit{J. T. Stafford} [Contemp. Math. 259, 237--240 (2000; Zbl 0985.16031)] and \textit{A. L. Kanunnikov} [Mosc. Univ. Math. Bull. 66, No. 3, 119--122 (2011; Zbl 1304.16046); translation from Vest. Mosk. Univ. Mat. Mekh. 66, No. 3, 46--50 (2011)]. The following theorem is proved: Theorem. Let \(R\) be a \(G\)-graded gr-prime right gr-Goldie ring. Suppose that a quotient group \(G/Z(G)\) is periodic. Then the ring \(Q^{\mathrm{gr}}_{cl}(R)\) exists and is completely gr-reducible. Moreover, \(Q^{\mathrm{gr}}_{cl}(R) = Q_{\mathrm{gr}}(R)\). It is shown that the orthogonal graded completion \(O^{\mathrm{gr}}(R)\) of a gr-semiprime Goldie ring \(R\) (graded by a group satisfying some condition) can be decomposed into a direct sum of gr-prime Goldie rings \(R_1, \ldots, R_n\) and it is proved that the maximal graded quotient ring \(Q^{\mathrm{gr}}(R)\) equals the direct sum of classical graded quotients rings of \(R_1, \ldots, R_n\).
