The inverse spectral problem is studied for the differential equation \[ -y''(x)+q(x)y(x)=\lambda^2 y(x),\; 0<x<\pi \] with non-separated boundary conditions \[ y'(0)+(a\lambda b)y(0)+\omega y(\pi)=0,\; y'(\pi)+dy(\pi)-\omega y(0)=0. \] Sufficient conditions for the solvability of the inverse problem are provided and the uniqueness is established. \par The inverse spectral problem for more general boundary value problems has been solved in [\textit{G. Freiling} and \textit{V. Yurko}, Appl. Anal. 94, No. 8, 1649--1661 (2015; Zbl 1331.34024)].
