The authors study a nonlinear Dirichlet problem with \(p\)-Laplacican and a reaction term satisfying unilateral growth restriction. Two multiplicity theorems are proved under different behaviour of the reaction term near the origin. The obtained results extend significantly the multiplicity results existing for the class of parametric, coercive Dirichlet problems.
