Let \(X\) be a complex \(n\)-dimensional manifold and let \(T_1,\dots,T_m\) be positive closed currents on \(X\). The authors discuss the problem when the wedge product \(T_1\wedge\dots\wedge T_m\) is well defined. Let \(\varDelta\) be the diagonal of \(X^m\), let \(N\varDelta\) be the normal bundle of \(\varDelta\), and let \(\pi:N\varDelta\longrightarrow\varDelta\) be the canonical projection. The main results of the paper are the following theorems: -- Assume that \(T_1,\dots,T_{m-1}\) are of bidegree \((1,1)\) and \(T_m\) is of bidegree \((p,p)\) with \(m-1+p\leq n\). Let \(u_k\) be a local potential of \(T_k\), \(k=1,\dots,m-1\), such that \(u_{m-1}\) is locally integrable with respect to \(T_m\) and \(u_k\) is locally integrable with respect to \(dd^cu_{k+1}\wedge\dots\wedge dd^cu_{m-1}\wedge T\), \(k=1,\dots,m-2\). Moreover, assume that for any open set \(U\subset X\) and any sequences \((u^j_k)_{j=1}^\infty\) of smooth plurisubharmonic functions with \(u^j_k\searrow u_k\) on \(U\), \(k=1,\dots,m-2\), we have \(u^j_kdd^cu^j_{k+1}\wedge\dots\wedge dd^cu^j_{m-1}\wedge T\longrightarrow u_kdd^cu_{k+1}\wedge\dots\wedge dd^cu_{m-1}\wedge T\) on \(U\). Then the Dinh-Sibony product \(T_1\curlywedge\dots\curlywedge T_m\) is well defined and coincides with the classical wedge product \(T_1\wedge\dots\wedge T_m\). -- Assume that \(X\) is Kähler and let \(T_1,\dots,T_m\) be positive closed \((1,1)\)-currents on \(X\) such that their supports have compact intersection. Let \(u_j\) be a local potential of \(T_j\), \(j=1,\dots,m\). Then the non-pluripolar product \(T_1\wedge\dots\wedge T_m\) is well-defined and \(\pi^\ast(T_1\wedge\dots\wedge T_m)\leq\mathbf{1}_{\pi^{-1}(X\setminus(\bigcup_{j=1}^mu_j^{-1}(-\infty)))}S\), for any density current \(S\) associated with \((T_1,\dots,T_m)\). If \(e^{u_j}\) is continuous, \(j=1,\dots,m\), then the inequality becomes an equality. -- Let \(T\) be a positive closed \((1,1)\)-current on \(X\) with analytic singularities and let \(S\) be a density current associated with the \(m\)-tuple \((T,\dots,T)\). Then \(\pi^\ast(T^m_{AW})\leq S\), where \(T^m_{AW}\) denotes the Andersson-Wulcan product.
