The Clausen function is defined as \[\operatorname{Cl}_2(\theta)=\sum_{k=1}^{\infty}\cfrac{\sin(k\theta)}{k^2} = -2 \int_{0}^{\frac{\theta}{2}} \log(2\sin(x))\,dx\] The authors first give a new proof of Clausen's acceleration formula \[\cfrac{\operatorname{Cl}_2(\theta)}{\theta}=1-\log(|\theta|)+\sum_{n=1}^{\infty} \cfrac{\zeta(2n)}{(2\pi)^{2n}n(2n+1)}\theta^n\] for \(|\theta|<2\pi\). They give three new series representations for \(\zeta(3)\) that are derived from the above formula and Fubini integration. As an example they show that \[\zeta(3)=\cfrac{4\pi^2}{35}\left(\cfrac{3}{2}-\log\left(\cfrac{\pi}{2}\right)+\sum_{n=1}^{\infty}\cfrac{\zeta(2n)}{n(n+1)(2n+1)16^n}\right).\] Finally they show an identity involving binomial coefficients and zeta values, namely \[\sum_{n=1}^{\infty} \cfrac{\zeta(2n)}{n4^n}\dbinom{2n}{m}=\frac{1}{m}\] for \(m\) odd and \[\sum_{n=1}^{\infty} \cfrac{\zeta(2n)}{n4^n}\dbinom{2n}{m}=\frac{1}{m}\left(2\zeta(m)\left(1-\frac{1}{2^m}\right)-1\right).\] This allows them to deduce several new series representations involving zeta values at even integers.
