The paper under review deals with the well-known Landau-Selberg-Delange method, completely described in [\textit{G. Tenenbaum}, Introduction to analytic and probabilistic number theory. Transl. from the 3rd French edition by Patrick D. F. Ion. 3rd expanded ed. Providence, RI: American Mathematical Society (AMS) (2015; Zbl 1336.11001)] for instance, which enables us to derive asymptotic formulas for the average order of a large class of complex-valued multiplicative functions. As the authors point it out, the method arose with a key idea by Landau and then was enhanced by \textit{A. Selberg} [J. Indian Math. Soc., New Ser. 18, 83--87 (1954; Zbl 0057.28502)] whose initial motivation was to derive a quick proof of some results obtained by Sathe giving asymptotic formulas for local laws of the usual functions of primes. The method essentially deals with multiplicative functions satisfying the following hypotheses. \begin{itemize} \item[\scriptsize \(\triangleright\)] \(\left| f \right|\) does not grow too fast; \item[\scriptsize \(\triangleright\)] There exist constant \(\alpha \in \mathbb{C}\) and \(c > 0\) such that \((s-1)^\alpha L(s,f)\) is analytic in a region of the shape \(\sigma > 1 - \frac{c}{\log(|t|+2)}\). \end{itemize} In practice, the second condition is not always easily verified. With this in mind, the authors prove a similar result with a more flexible condition. More precisely, an estimate of the same strength as that of Landau-Selberg-Delange is established for multiplicative functions \(f\) satisfying \(|f(n)| \leqslant \tau_k(n)\) and \[\sum_{p \leqslant x} f(p) \log p = \kappa x + O \left( \frac{x}{(\log x)^A} \right)\] for some \(k,A > 0\) and \(\kappa \in \mathbb{C}\).
