This work proposes a formulation of the relativistic Euler equations, in which the main variables are the logarithmic enthalpy, the entropy, and the four-velocity considered in the Minkowski spacetime. Such a combination of the velocity and the thermodynamic variables is especially suited for the description of shock waves.
