A nonlinear oscillating system with small perturbation is considered. More precisely, the system under consideration is a system of two nonautonomous differential equations with small parameter \(0<\varepsilon\ll 1\): \[\frac{dE}{dt}= \varepsilon \mathcal{F}(E,s,\psi,\theta), \quad \frac{ds}{dt}= \Lambda(E,\theta)+\varepsilon\mathcal{G}(E,s,\psi,\theta), \] \(t>0, \quad (E,s)\in{\mathbb R}^2\). \(\mathcal{F, G}\), and \(\Lambda\) are given functions, the variable \(\theta = \varepsilon^{\frac{4}{3}}t\) defines the so-called slow time. One of the arguments, \(\psi = \psi(t,\varepsilon)\), is a given smooth function (the fast phase of the perturbation) whose derivative changes slowly. It is assumed that the perturbation corresponds to external pumping which has a slow varying frequency. An asymptotics with respect to the small parameter \(\varepsilon\) is constructed for the solutions capturing in resonance in a neighborhood of stable equilibrium of the unperturbed system. The time interval of resonance is defined.
