In the first part of the paper, the author considers the differential equation \[ \frac{dx}{dt}=a(t)x^3+b(t)x^2,\tag{\(*\)} \] where \(a\) and \(b\) are continuous \(\omega\)-periodic functions. Under the condition \(a(t)b(t) <0\) \([>0]\) he proves by means of a fixed point theorem that (\(*\)) has a unique positive [negative] \(\omega\)-periodic solution. In the second part, the equation \[ \frac{dx}{dt}=a(t)x^3+b(t)x^2+c(t)x+d(t) \tag{\(**\)} \] is studied, where all functions are continuous and \(\omega\)-periodic, additionally \(a\) and \(b\) are differentiable and \(a(t)\ne 0\) for all \(t\). Suppose that \[ r(t)=-\frac{b(t)}{a(t)}\ \text{ or }\ r(t)=\frac{-b(t)+\sqrt{b^2(t)-3a(t)c(t)}}{a(t)}\ \text{ or }\ r(t)=\frac{-b(t)-\sqrt {b^2(t)-3a(t)c(t)}}{a(t)} \] is a solution of (\(*\)), then under some additional conditions on \(a,b,c\), equation (\(**\)) has in the first case two other \(\omega\)-periodic solutions, in the last two cases it has another \(\omega\)-periodic solution.
