Let \(F\) be a field of characteristic two, \(C\) a nonsingular hyperelliptic curve over \(F\), of genus \(g\geq1\), and \(\pi\colon C\to \mathbb{P}^1\) a double covering of \(\mathbb{P}^1\). The aim of the paper is to show that the unramified Witt group of \(C\) is generated by forms that vanish locally at the points of ramification of \(\pi\). The results of the paper are sharper when the ramification points of \(C\) are tame and \(F\)-rational; in this case, the results are analogues of results obtained by \textit{R. Parimala} and \textit{R. Sujatha} [Comment. Math. Helv. 65, No. 4, 559--580 (1990; Zbl 0741.11023)]. When \(F\) is perfect and \(C\) is an elliptic curve, the results allow to derive a generator-relation structure for the Witt group.
