The authors establish the long-time behaviour of solutions to the discrete two-dimensional Schrödinger and Klein-Gordon equations. They follow to a general strategy introduced by \textit{B. R. Vainberg} in [``Behaviour for large time of solutions of the Klein-Gordon equation'', Tr. Mosk. Mat. Obshch. 30, 139--158 (1974; Zbl 0313.35053)], \textit{A. Jensen} and \textit{T. Kato} in [Duke Math. J. 46, 583--611 (1979; Zbl 0448.35080)], and \textit{M. Murata} in [J. Funct. Anal. 49, 10--56 (1982; Zbl 0499.35019)] -- concerning the wave Klein-Gordon and Schrödinger equations in the discrete case. Roughly speaking, they establish the smoothness of the resolvent of a stationary problem at the nonsingular point of continuous spectrum and a generalized Puiseux expansion at the singular points which are critical values of the symbol. At the end the authors obtain the long-time asymptotics for solutions of the above considered equations by means of the inverse Fourier-Laplace transform. In the proof of the theorems they perform strong calculations based on the spectral theory.
