Let \(\mathcal{M}_n\) be a family of totally geodesic \(\mathbb{R}\mathbb{P}^{n-1}\) in \(\mathbb{C}\mathbb{P}^n\). Since the unitary group \(U\left( n+1\right)\) acts on \(\mathcal{M}_n\) transitively, \(\mathcal{M}_n\) is a homogeneous space of \(U\left( n+1\right)\). Using a curve \(\gamma : I\to\mathcal{M}_n\), we can construct a real \(n\)-dimensional submanifold \(M\) of \(\mathbb{C}\mathbb{P}^n\) (which may have some singularities) with codimension 1 totally geodesic foliation \(\{\gamma\left( t\right)\}_{t\in I}\). The author proves that if \(\gamma\) is horizontal with respect to the natural fibration \(\mathcal{M}_n\to\mathbb{C}\mathbb{P}^n\) and \(M\) is minimal then \(M\) is totally geodesic.
