The paper is some development of the preceding works of the authors and Molev, Cherednik, Chari and Pressley, Akataka and Kashiwara, Nazarov and Tarasov. It is devoted to the explicit realization of irreducible representations of the Yangian of the general linear Lie algebra and its twisted analogues, corresponding to symplectic and orthogonal Lie algebras. After a short exposition of preceding results and the introduction of the definition of the fundamental representation of Yangian, the different completions, additions and corrections are given. So, for example, a new (different from Drinfeld) parametrization of irreducible finite-dimensional representations of the associative algebra \(Y(\mathfrak{gl}_n)\) is presented and more explicit formulas for intertwining operators of tensor products of fundamental representations of \(Y(\mathfrak{gl}_n)\) are obtained, such that up to automorphisms the quotients by the kernels of these operators realize all irreducible finite-dimensional representations of \(Y(\mathfrak{gl}_n)\). To obtain the irreducible representations of \(Y(\mathfrak{gl}_n)\), \(Y(\mathfrak{sp}_n)\) and \(Y(\mathfrak{o}_n)\) as the quotients of tensor products of fundamental representations of \(Y(\mathfrak{g}_n)\), in the mentioned papers the authors imposed certain conditions on the tensor products. Some of these conditions are now removed. It is also shown, that in the case of the algebra \(Y(\mathfrak{o}_n)\) it is necessary to consider the integrable representations only. The question on the irreducibility of tensor products of Yangian modules associated with skew Young diagram is touched.
