A literature review shows that during the last years many experimental and theoretical efforts towards an understanding of the magnetic properties of the two-sublattice mixed spin Ising systems have been made. The following possible reasons can be shown as an explanation of the increasing interest in these systems: (i) these systems are related to potential technological applications; (ii) such systems have less translational symmetry than their single-spin counterparts (they exhibit many new phenomena that cannot be observed in the single-spin Ising systems); (iii) these systems may be relevant for an understanding of bimetallic molecular systems based on magnetic materials. One of the well known and most studied mixed spin Ising systems is the mixed spin-2 and spin-5/2 Ising system. It is a prototypical system that has been used for studying magnetic behaviors of many molecular-based magnetic materials. In the equilibrium properties of the mixed spin-2 and spin-5/2 Ising system are well-known but in the case of dynamical aspects of such systems the situation is different. Taking into account this fact, the authors firstly construct the set of coupled mean-field dynamic equations employing the Glauber transition rates. Then they investigate the time variations of average order parameters to find the phases in the system. They also examine the thermal behavior of the dynamic order parameters to characterize the nature (continuous or discontinuous) of the dynamic phase transitions (DPTs) and obtain the DPT points as well as present the phase diagrams. Finally, they study the behavior of the dynamic magnetic hysteresis and investigate the effects of the frequency on hysteresis properties. The paper is divided into four sections. After the introduction Section 2 briefly describes the model and obtains the dynamic mean-field equations by the Glauber transition rates in the presence of a time-varying magnetic field. In Section 3, there is a presentation of the numerical results: the examination of the average order parameters and the thermal behavior of the dynamic order parameters as well as the dynamic hysteresis behavior. The paper ends with a summary and conclusions in Section 4.
