\(\Lambda\)-buildings and base change functors. (Q2429490)

The authors consider generalized affine buildings, i.e.\ \(\Lambda\)-buildings where \(\Lambda\) is an ordered abelian group. The main results say that every epimorphism \(\Lambda\to\Lambda'\) of ordered abelian groups gives rise to a functor on the category of \(\Lambda\)-buildings to the one of \(\Lambda'\)-buildings with additional nice properties. One of the applications is the following fact: the class of generalized affine buildings is closed under taking asymptotic cones and ultracones.
