Let \(K\) be a compact set in \(\mathbb{C}^{N}\) and \(V_{K}\) be the associated pluricomplex Green function. When \(N=1\), this is the usual Green function \(g_{\Omega }(\cdot ,\infty )\), where \(\Omega \) is the component of \(\widehat{\mathbb{C}}\backslash K\) containing \(\infty\). Various authors have shown, for certain families of compact sets \(K\), that \(V_{K}\) has a Hölder continuity property of the form \(V_{K}(z)\leq A\big(\text{dist}(z,K)\big)^{\alpha }\) when \(\text{dist}(z,K)\leq 1\), where \(A,\alpha >0\). However, there is no geometric characterization of sets \(K\) with this property. The present paper is concerned with polynomially convex compact sets \(K\) that satisfy a reverse inequality of the form \(V_{K}(z)\geq B\big(\text{dist}(z,K)\big)^{\beta }\) when \(\text{dist}(z,K)\leq 1\), where \(B,\beta >0\). The authors construct a family of totally disconnected uniformly perfect planar sets with this property. The construction is based on attractors for iterated function systems.
