By using Nevanlinna's value distribution theory, many authors have considered the properties of solutions of linear differential equations with polynomial coefficients in the complex domain. However, there are no result about the bounds for the sums of the zeros of solutions. In this paper, the author considers the linear differential equation \[ u''=P(z)u,\quad u(0)=u_0,\quad u'(0)=u_1\quad (u_0 ,u_1 \in \mathbb{C}),\tag{*} \] where \(P(z)=\sum_{k=0}^{n}c_k z^k\) with \(c_n \neq 0\). Denoting by \(z_k (u), k=1,2,\dots,\) the zeros of a solution \(u\) of (*) with \(|z_k (u)|\leq|z_{k+1}(u)|\) and \[ \mu(P)=\exp\left[\sum_{j=0}^{n}\frac{|c_j|}{j+2}\right], \] he obtains the following theorem. Theorem 1.1. If \(u(0)\neq 0\), then, for \(j=1,2,\dots\), it holds \[ \sum_{k=1}^{j}\frac{1}{|z_k (u)|}\leq\left(1+\frac{|u_1|}{|u_0|}\right)\mu(P)-1+\sum\limits_{k=1}^{j}\frac{1}{(k+1)^{\frac{1}{2}}}. \]
