The elliptic geometry was considered by K. Sörensen and D. Gröger [see \textit{D. Gröger}, Mitt. Math. Ges. Hamburg 11, 441--457 (1987; Zbl 0632.51015) and \textit{H. Karzel} and \textit{H.-J. Kroll}, Geschichte der Geometrie seit Hilbert. (The history of geometry since Hilbert). Darmstadt: Wissenschaftliche Buchgesellschaft (1988; Zbl 0718.01003)]. Sörensen presented firstly a rigorous system of axioms for elliptic planes and then for elliptic spaces of any dimension which allows an algebraization. Gröger succeeded to give an archimedisation for non-Archimedean elliptic planes. For this purpose he introduced a length function whose values are elements of a cyclic ordered group. The authors of the paper under review start from an ordered elliptic space of any dimension and they also consider a distance function. Moreover, they show that the triangle inequality holds under some conditions.
