    Let \((T_t)_ {t>0}\) be a positive, strongly continuous contraction semigroup on \(L^2(E, m)\), associated with a quasi-regular semi-Dirichlet form. For any (strictly) positive \(\alpha\)-excessive function \(h\), one constructs the \(h\)-transform of the semigroup \[ T_t^ {h} f := h^ {-1} e^ {-\alpha t} T_t (h f). \] \textit{Z.-M. Ma} and \textit{M. Röckner} [Can. J. Math. 47, No. 4, 817--840 (1995; Zbl 0828.31005)] proved that the transformed semigroup is associated with a (special standard) Markov process. The present paper shows that, applying simultaneously the \(h\)-transform and a similar \(\hat h\)-transform to the dual semigroup, there exists a pair \((\mathbf M, \mathbf {\widehat M})\) of \(m\)-tight special standard processes, satisfying the following properties: (i) \(\mathbf M\) and \( \mathbf {\widehat M}\) are in weak duality with respect to \(h {\hat h} \cdot m\). (ii) Both \(\mathbf M\) and \(\mathbf {\widehat M}\) satisfy Hunt's hypothesis (H) (i. e., any semi-polar set is exceptional).
