Addition law structure of elliptic curves (Q2430988)

The author analyzes the module structure of the space of sections of the addition morphism on elliptic curves, determines explicit dimension formulas for the space of sections and their eigenspaces under the action of torsion groups. Then these methods are applied to analyze various models of elliptic curves, among which are standard models, such as twisted Hessian models, Jacobi quadric intersections and twisted Edwards models, but also a degree 5 model for elliptic curves with a rational point of order 5.
