Factorizations of EP Banach space operators and EP Banach algebra elements (Q2431222)

The objective of this article is to characterize EP Banach space operators and EP Banach algebra elements using factorizations of the form \(a=bc\), \(a^{\dag}=sa\) and \(a=ucv\). The author extends classical results due to Djordjević, Koliha, Straskaba and Drivaliaris, Karamasios, Pappas by adapting the proofs. The obtained results generalize well-known characterizations of EP matrices, EP Hilbert space operators and EP \(C^{\ast}\)-algebra elements.
