This paper majorally studies the qualitative behavior of the solutions of the two rational difference equations: \[ x_{n+1}=ax_{n-k}+\frac{bx_{n-k}}{cx_n-dx_{n-k}},\;\;\;n=0,1,2,\dots \] and \[ x_{n+1}=ax_{n-k}+\frac{bx_{n-k}}{cx_n+dx_{n-k}},\;\;\;n=0,1,2,\dots \] in which \(a,b,c\) and \(d\) are positive constants, and \(k\) is a positive integer. The authors discuss the periodic solutions of the above equations under different conditions of the parameters in Sections 2 and 5. Then they obtain a few theorems about the local stability characters of these difference equations in Section 3 and 6. They also study the global attractivity character of the solutions in Section 4 and 7. Furthermore, some numerical examples are introduced at the end of the paper.
