The paper presents results concerning two problems related to the dependence of the eigenvalues of the Laplacian with Dirichlet boundary condition with respect to perturbations of the domain. The first problem is formulated by asking to preserve the multiplicity of a prescribed eigenvalue when the domain changes. The second problem requires to keep unchanged a fixed eigenvalue when the domain is modified. The authors consider an abstract development too.
