The authors derive generating relations involving generalized Bessel functions using the representation theory of the Lie group \(T_{3}\). The 2-index 3-variable 1-parameter Bessel functions (2I3V1PBF) \(J_{n,m}(x,\,y,\,z;\,\xi)\) can be defined by \[ J_{m,n}(x,\,y,\,z;\,\xi)=\sum_{s=-\infty}^{\infty} \xi^sJ_{m-s}(x)\,J_{n-s}(y)\,J_{s}(z), \] where \(J_{s}(x)\) is the ordinary Bessel function. The authors give a review of the basic properties of the functions \(J_{m,n}(x,\,y,\,z;\,\xi)\) and their connections with other generalized Bessel functions and the ordinary Bessel functions. They relate the functions \(J_{m,n}(x,\,y,\,z;\,\xi)\) to the representation \(Q(\omega,\,m_{0})\) of the Lie algebra \(\mathcal{T}_{3}\). They also obtain various new relations for the functions associated with \(J_{m,n}(x,\,y,\,z;\,\xi)\). Certain known results are mentioned as special cases.
