The paper is focused on an improper parametrization problem of surfaces with rational parametrization. Because the rational parametrization belongs to the standard representations of curves and surfaces in the area of computer shape modelling and processing, the detection whether this parametrization is proper (one-to one) or improper (many to one) is very important. The authors study a class of rational surface parametrizations arising from such special monomial supports that any rational surface parametrization defined on these monomial supports is always improper. These monomial supports are referred as inherently improper surface parametric supports. In this article, a proof of the theorem for the detection and correction of improper surface parametrizations due to inherently improper surface parametric supports is presented.
