A broad class of initial boundary value problems with homogeneous Dirichlet boundary condition and quasilinear parabolic equation with nonlinear source term is investigated in this paper from a blow-up condition point of view. The authors prove that if the initial energy is negative then the solution always blow-ups in finite time. It is very important to find sufficiently simple and easy to verify conditions that provide the existence of physical phenomena like thermal explosions or heat localization in peaking nodes. New classes of finite difference schemes to obtain approximation solutions are established for which a discrete conservation law analogous to the continuous one holds. These difference schemes can be used also to determine two-side estimates for the blow-up time of the solution to the original differential equation. Moreover, one can use either explicit or implicit difference schemes as well.
