In the space \(\mathbb{R}^n\) a pursuit game is considered which is described by the linear delay differential equation \[ \dot{z}(t)=Az(t)+Bz(t-h)-Cu(t)+Dv(t),\quad t\in \mathbb{R}_{+}=[0,\infty), \tag{1} \] with the initial condition \[ z(t)=z_0(t),\quad t\in [-h,0], \] where \[ u(\cdot)\in U=\Big \{ u(\cdot)\in L_2 (\mathbb{R}_{+},\mathbb{R}^{p}):\|u(\cdot)\|\leq \rho\Big \} \] and \[ v(\cdot)\in V=\Big \{ u(\cdot)\in L_2 (\mathbb{R}_{+},\mathbb{R}^{q}):\|v(\cdot)\|\leq \sigma\Big \} \] are controls of the pursuer and of the quarry, respectively. Let \(M=M_1+M_0\) be a terminal set, where \(M_0\subset \mathbb{R}^{n}\) is a linear subset and \(M_1\subset L\) is a convex compact set. Here \(L\) is the orthogonal complement of \(M_0\) in \(\mathbb{R}^n.\) The game is terminated from the initial state \[ X=\{z_0(t):t\in [0,h],z_0(0)\in \mathbb{R}^n\backslash M \} \] if there exists a number \(t=t(z_0(\cdot))\) such that, for an arbitrary control \(v(s)\), \(0\leq s \leq t,\) of the quarry, there can be chosen a control \(u(s)\), \(0\leq s \leq t,\) of the pursuer such that the solution \(z(t)\) of equation (1) attains the set \(M\) in time not exceeding \(t\). Herewith, the control \(u(t)\) at each instant of time \(t,\) the values of \(v(t)\) and \(z(s)\), \(t-h\leq s\leq t,\) may be taken into account. In the present paper, sufficient conditions are obtained for the solvability of the considered pursuit game.
