    The paper deals with the Cauchy-Darboux problem to the equation \(u_{tt}-u_{xx}+\lambda | u| ^{\alpha }u=f(x,t)\) in the triangle (the angle for \(T=+\infty \)) bounded by three segments: \(\gamma _1=\{(kt,t);0\leq t\leq T\}\), \(\gamma _2=\{(0,t);0\leq t\leq T\}\) and \(\gamma _3=\{(x,T);0\leq x\leq kT\}\) with the data \(u_{\mid \gamma _1}=0\) and \((u_x)_{\mid \gamma _2}=0\), where \(k\in (0,1)\). The authors show that the problem has either global or local or no solution with depending on certain conditions on \(\lambda \) and \(\alpha \).
