The author studies torsion-free Abelian groups with respect to two properties -- \textit{weak transitivity} and being an \textit{E-Engel group}. The main results state sufficient conditions on an Abelian group \(A\) to have commutative endomorphism ring. Recall that a group \(A\) is called \textit{E-Engel} if its endomorphism ring \(E(A)\) is an Engel ring, i.e. \([b,na]=0\) for all \(b,a\in E(A)\) for some natural number \(n\) where \([x,y]\) is the commutator of \(x,y\). Moreover, if \(A\) is torsion-free, then \(A\) is called \textit{weakly transitive} if for all elements \(a,b\neq 0\) such that \(\chi(a)=\chi(b)\) there is an endomorphism \(\varphi\in E(A)\) such that \(\varphi(a)=b\). The main result says that for a reduced torsion-free weakly transitive group \(A\) the set of nilpotent endomorphisms of \(A\) is not contained in the set of bounded right Engel endomorphisms. In addition, if an element from \(E(A)\) is bounded right-nilpotent, then \(E(A)\) is commutative. Moreover, the ring of endomorphisms of a torsion-free Abelian group with periodic group of automorphisms and Engel ring of endomorphisms is also proved to be commutative.
