Based on constructions in [\textit{T. tom Dieck}, Transformation groups. De Gruyter Studies in Mathematics, 8. Berlin - New York: Walter de Gruyter (1987; Zbl 0611.57002)] and in [\textit{J. Thévenaz} and \textit{P. Webb}, Trans. Am. Math. Soc. 347, No. 6, 1865--1961 (1995; Zbl 0834.20011)], the author defines a conjugate pair of categories \((\mathcal{B},\mathcal{A})\). This pair gives raise to an adjoint pair of functors \([\mathcal{B}^{op},\mathcal{C}]\leftrightarrows [\mathcal{A}^{op},\mathcal{C}]\) for every model category \(\mathcal{C}\). The main theorem in this paper asserts that given a left proper stable category \(\mathcal{C}\), if \((\mathcal{B},\mathcal{A})\) is a conjugate pair of small categories then the adjoint pair \([\mathcal{B}^{op},\mathcal{C}]\leftrightarrows [\mathcal{A}^{op},\mathcal{C}]\) is a Quillen equivalence. Also, the additive version is stated in the last section: If \(\mathcal{C}\) is a complete and cocomplete abelian category and \((\mathcal{B},\mathcal{A})\) is a conjugate pair of small categories, then the adjoint pair above is an equivalence of categories.
