      This result is about a Borg type theorem for AKNS operators acting in \(L^{2}\left( 0,1\right) \times L^{2}\left( 0,1\right) \) and generated by \[ \mathcal{H}\left(p,q\right) =\left( \begin{matrix} 0 & -1\\ 1 & 0 \end{matrix} \right) \frac{d}{dx} +\left( \begin{matrix} -q & p\\ p & q \end{matrix} \right) \;\;\;\;\;0\leq x\leq1. \] The boundary conditions are given by \[ \cos\left( \alpha\right) \;y(0)+\sin(\alpha)z(0)=0 \] and \[ \cos\left( \beta\right) \;y(1)+\sin(\beta)z(1)=0 \text{ for }\left( y(x),z(x)\right) ^{T}\in\mathrm{Dom}\left( \mathcal{H}\left( p,q\right) \right). \] It is shown that if \(\left( p_{1},q_{1}\right) ,\left( p_{2},q_{2}\right) \in L^{2}\left( 0,1\right) \times L^{2}\left( 0,1\right) \) such that \(\left( p_{1},q_{1}\right) =\left( p_{2},q_{2}\right) \;\)on \(\left( a,1\right) \), but close enough around \(a\) while the intersections of the spectra of \(\mathcal{H}\left( p_{1},q_{1}\right) \;\)and \(\mathcal{H}\left( p_{2},q_{2}\right) \;\)is large enough, then \(\left( p_{1},q_{1}\right) =\left( p_{2},q_{2}\right) \;\)for \(x\in \left( 0,1\right) .\)
